Tana J Duncan is a Bay Area based Natural Foods Chef. She has honed her skills over 19 years of restaurant work, boutique catering and personal /private chef services. She began her culinary path young with a natural palate for flavor, eye for beauty and interest in nutrition, diet and health.  She has always created fine art; beautiful and vibrant food has become an extension of that. 

Tana started as a short order chef at a quaint well-loved cafe in her hometown, building a foundation of basic kitchen skills. While pursing an arts degree and Feng Shui practitioners certification in Los Angelas she apprenticed with a celebrity Raw Food chef and did recipe innovation contract work. After a move back to the Santa Cruz area she became a principal founding member of the La Vie Food Collective. Selling packaged food and drinks at ten Bay Area farmers markets while also enjoying the position of pastry and raw vegan head chef at Asana Cafe in Santa Cruz.

Moving on to a more savory chef life, she took on the role of Head Chef and Nutrition Treatment Coordinator for the BioSanctuary and Shangri-La BioSpa, a deluxe personalized healing retreat and detox program.  She formatted and initiated a food based detox programs as well as classes for further nutrition and applied health education for clients country-wide. 

Currently self-employed doing small exclusive event catering,  personal/private chef service and private aviation catering.

With an interior design and Feng Shui backround along with a nutrition focused culinary style, she enjoys kitchen styling, lifestyle overhaul, and nutrition education. She is a regular contributor to the Women & mothers health focused website www.amotheris.com. With a long history of contract work, she has done recipe cataloging for a foremost recipe/menu website, recipe production for restaurants, and weekly curated menus for other personal chefs.

Her goal is to entice all of the senses with her culinary works, encourage the experience of home cooked handmade meals, make life easier and more delicious for her clients and continue education for a variety of delectable endeavors.

Tana is a Montana gal residing in the mountains of Santa Cruz with her golden retriever and 14 year old son.  Nature, health, art, music , family and travel are among her many passions.
